Located adjacent to the celebrated St Andrews golf course, the world-renowned Old Course Hotel has undergone a significant refurbishment of its Kohler Waters Spa – perfectly timed for the Global Wellness Summit held at the venue in November 2024.
KLAFS played a pivotal role in the transformation, designing and installing the spa’s key highlights: two tiled steam baths, including the innovative ESPURO® Foam Steam Bath, and the exclusive PROFI sauna featuring 3-tier rustic PROFI PLUS benches crafted from softwood obeche. Additionally, the POLARIS Ice Fountain was incorporated to complete the spa’s comprehensive hydrothermal programme.
The result is a spa that establishes the hotel as a world-class wellness destination, offering guests state-of-the-art, meticulously designed wellness experiences in a tranquil and luxurious setting. This exceptional combination has earned acclaim, with The Sunday Times magazine naming Kohler Waters Spa the Best Scottish Spa of the Year.
Notably, the Old Course Hotel is the first location in the UK to feature the KLAFS ESPURO® Foam Experience Steam Room. Leveraging cutting-edge technology, this unique installation offers bathers a multi-sensory journey, immersing them in mountains of nourishing foam infused with plant-based fragrances, all set against a soothing backdrop of soft lighting and rhythmic sounds.
